Refunds, cancellations, and USPS delays
PostalForm is a convenience service: you provide the document and addresses, and we print the letter, prepare the envelope and postage, and hand the mailpiece to USPS for mailing.
Published Mar 15, 2026
What PostalForm's service includes
- Printing the document you upload
- Preparing the envelope and postage
- Handing the mailpiece to USPS for mailing
- Providing order-status updates and, when available, USPS tracking details
When you can still request a cancellation
If your order has not entered printing or carrier handoff yet, contact support right away. We may be able to cancel and refund before processing begins.
What changes after USPS accepts the mailpiece
After USPS accepts the mailpiece, USPS handles transit, delivery attempts, forwarding, return-to-sender events, and other carrier-side issues.
That means PostalForm does not control:
- USPS transit speed
- Delivery timing
- Carrier delays or routing issues
- Loss, misdelivery, or forwarding events after USPS acceptance
Do USPS delays qualify for a refund?
Generally, no.
Once printing has started or the mailpiece has been handed to USPS, the order is generally non-cancelable and non-refundable, except where required by law or if the issue was caused by our printing, processing, or fulfillment of the order.
Examples of issues on PostalForm's side may include:
- We printed the wrong file
- We used different print options than the order required
- We made a fulfillment error before USPS acceptance
What to do if mail is delayed
- Check the USPS tracking number if one is available
- Use USPS support tools for delayed-mail or missing-mail issues after USPS acceptance
- Contact PostalForm if you believe the issue was caused by our printing, processing, or fulfillment before USPS acceptance
