PostalForm is built to handle sensitive documents responsibly. We keep the workflow simple and protect the data that passes through it.

Data handling
- Uploads are used to create previews, process checkout, print, mail, support the order, and maintain required operational records.
- Uploaded files are stored in PostalForm-controlled application storage, not a public document directory.
- Provider handoff uses controlled file access for the print-and-mail job rather than exposing your document as a public static asset.
- Abandoned unpaid uploads are swept by scheduled cleanup jobs after a configured TTL when there is no pending payment, provider submission, or legal hold.
- Paid-order file retention is governed by operational retention settings and legal-hold safeguards. Legal holds can pause cleanup when a dispute, compliance, or support reason requires preserving records.
- Access is limited to authorized systems and staff required to produce, mail, support, or investigate the order.
Payment security
- Payments are processed via Stripe.
- Card details never touch PostalForm servers.
What PostalForm does not do
- We do not sell uploaded document contents.
- We do not ask you to mail physical originals to PostalForm.
- We do not include checks, keys, ID cards, physical photos, or other non-paper items in envelopes.
- We do not treat ordinary email or portal upload as a substitute for physical mail when your recipient requires mailed paper.
Tracking and order visibility
- Order status updates are available after checkout.
- Tracking numbers are provided for Certified Mail (First Class only), with optional electronic return receipt when selected.

FAQs
- Do you store my PDF forever?
- PostalForm uses configured retention and cleanup controls rather than treating uploaded files as permanent public assets. Legal holds can pause cleanup when records must be preserved.
- Who can access my documents?
- Access is restricted to systems and staff required to preview, print, mail, support, or investigate your order.
- Do you share my data?
- We share order data only with vendors required to print, mail, process payments, provide support, or operate the service.
