How much notice is required in New Mexico?
For a month-to-month tenancy, 30 days' written notice prior to the periodic rental date, by owner or resident (NMSA § 47-8-37(B), Uniform Owner-Resident Relations Act). An undersized notice rolls to the next rental date. (NMSA § 47-8-37, NMSA § 47-8-33, NMSA § 47-8-13)

Nonpayment of rent notice in New Mexico
3-day written notice of nonpayment and intent to terminate (NMSA § 47-8-33(D)). Tender of the full amount due before the 3 days expire bars the action; New Mexico courts publish approved Form 4-901 for this notice.
