Common mistakes+
- Expecting one opt-out request to stop every local coupon, political, customer, donor, or current-resident mailing.
- Leaving out name variations or prior addresses that appear on older mailing lists.
- Confusing this mailed provider packet with DMAchoice, which currently requires a separate fee by check or online payment.
- Confusing this packet with OptOutPrescreen, where permanent credit-offer opt-out starts online or by phone and then requires a signed generated form.
FAQs+
Will this stop all junk mail?
No. This sends signed opt-out requests to supported direct-mail data providers. It will not stop every local, political, customer, donor, current-resident, DMAchoice, or prescreened credit mailing.
Why do you ask for name variations and previous addresses?
Data providers often match suppression requests against name and address records. Including common variations and prior addresses can improve matching.
Do you submit OptOutPrescreen for me?
No. Permanent OptOutPrescreen requests require the official site or phone process first, followed by a signed form. This workflow does not submit external web forms or phone requests.
Do you mail DMAchoice registration?
Not in this version. DMAchoice currently requires a separate fee by check or money order for mail-in registration, and PostalForm does not send checks.
